Youth sport performance

A primary focus of the High Performance Centre (HPC) is the guided athletic development kids who participate in sport. The HPC proudly focuses on providing sport and age specific physical assessments that are focused on not only investigating physical performance but movement proficiency through major movement patterns. Training plans are then designed to improve and educate the kids on developing their movement patterns while aiming to improve performance and reduce injury risk. Our sport science offering ties in with all of this by consistently monitoring wellness and training load and advising on appropriate adjustments accordingly.

Assessments

Each athlete's training plan starts with a detailed physical assessment that aims to gain an accurate understanding of their movement patterns and possible muscle imbalances specific to their sport. The results of this assessment will guide their training prescription going forward. In addition to this each athlete will complete a baseline assessment to use a comparison for return to sport assessments when needed.

Supervised training

All youth athletes are supervised when training at the HPC. the type of training that we offer is one-on -one or the more popular group-based training where teams can come and prepare and train for their sport together while being exposed to a world class high performance environment. All sessions are supervised by our qualified team of biokineticitsts who specialise in strength and conditioning.
