Job title: Receptionist Old Mutual

Location: Old Mutal Gym, Pinelands

Position Type: Onsite and Fixed-Term

Compensation: R5 850.00 CTC

Closing Date: 18 March 2024

Working Hours: 25hrs per week plus claim for weekend and ad hoc shifts, Daily 5 
hours shifts, The Gym @ Old Mutual is open from 05h30 to 
20h30 Monday to Thursday, 05h30 to 19h30 
Friday, 07h00 to 13h00 Saturday and 08h00 to 13h00 Sunday.

Role Summary

A receptionist plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for 
visitors, clients, and employees in an organization. The role 
involves a combination of administrative, communication, and 
customer service responsibilities

Duties

• Greeting visitors
• Managing security and telecommunications systems

• Handling queries and complaints via phone, email and general correspondence
• Transferring calls as necessary
• Taking and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate staff member in time
• Managing meeting room availability
• Receiving, sorting, distributing and dispatching daily mail
• Handling transcription, printing, photocopying and faxing
• Recording and maintaining office expenses

• Managing office inventory such as stationery, equipment and furniture
• Overseeing office services like cleaners and 
maintenance service providers
• Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area

Qualifications
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification)
Years of Experience:
1-2 years Previous experience or knowledge of the fitness 
industry is an advantage.

Job title: HPC Digital Marketing Intern
Location: Sports Science Institute of South Africa's High-Performance Centre, Cape Town, South Africa
Employment Type: Internship (12 Months)


Role Summary: As a Digital Marketing Intern at SSISA HPC, you will play a vital role in our marketing team, helping to create and implement digital strategies to promote our services and engage with our target audience. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of digital marketing, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, and analytics.


Qualifications, Experience and Duties:

•    Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
•    Strong interest in digital marketing and social media.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content.
•    Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw insights.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus.

1. Social Media Management: Assist in managing and growing our presence across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Create and schedule engaging content, monitor performance metrics, and engage with our audience to build brand awareness and drive engagement.
2. Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content for our website, blog, and social media channels. This may include writing blog posts, designing graphics, producing videos, and curating user-generated content.
3. Email Marketing: Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including designing templates, writing copy, segmenting audiences, and analysing campaign performance.
4. SEO and SEM: Assist in optimizing our website for search engines and managing pay-per-click advertising campaigns to improve our visibility and drive traffic to our digital properties.
5. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse key performance metrics across all digital channels, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Prepare regular reports on digital marketing performance for internal stakeholders.
6. Research and Trends: Stay updated on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our strategies.


Abilities, Skills, and Attributes

•    Social Media Management: Proficiency in managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok for marketing purposes.
•    Content Creation: Ability to create engaging and relevant content including text, images, videos, and infographics for various digital channels.
•    Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Understanding of SEO principles and practices to optimize website content, meta tags, and backlink strategies to improve search engine rankings.
•    Email Marketing: Experience in creating, sending, and analysing email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or HubSpot.
•    Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising: Knowledge of PPC advertising platforms such as Google Ads and social media advertising platforms like Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
•    Analytics Tools: Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to track and analyse website traffic, user behaviour, and campaign performance.
•    Graphic Design: Basic graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or Adobe Illustrator to create visual content for digital marketing campaigns.
•    Video Editing: Basic video editing skills to create and edit marketing videos for social media and other digital channels using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or iMovie.
•    Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and external partners.
•    Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•    Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in priorities, strategies, and technology within the digital marketing landscape.
•    Teamwork: Collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, design, and IT departments to achieve common goals.
•    Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify challenges, brainstorm solutions, and implement strategies to overcome obstacles.
