Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Grade 12/Matric Certificate
- 2 years proven experience or aptitude in sales and student recruitment and ability to establish rapport.
• In-depth knowledge of the local landscape and established connections.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools for sales tracking and communication.
Preferred
- Experience in the fitness/sporting industry.
- Diploma in Marketing, Sports Science, or related.
Key Performance Areas
- Sales of Wellness Programs and Gym Memberships:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell gym memberships, wellness programs, and high-performance training packages.
- Engage with potential clients through various channels, including in-person consultations, phone calls, and digital marketing efforts.
- Provide detailed information about the benefits and features of the wellness and high-performance programs, and tailor offerings to meet individual client needs and goals.
2. Sales and Consultation: - Employ consultative sales techniques to understand student requirements and present tailored solutions.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's services, programs, and value propositions.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits of the company's offerings.
- Address inquiries, concerns, and objections from students, adapting communication style to suit individual preferences and needs.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to meet and exceed sales targets, contributing significantly to revenue generation.
3. Collaboration: - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, sales activities, and progress toward sales targets.
- Generate regular reports outlining sales performance, athlete feedback, and market insights.

Job purpose:
The Junior Floor Supervisor oversees day-to-day activities on the gym floor, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members. You will provide support to trainers, assist members with equipment, and handle basic customer inquiries. Additionally, assist to maintain equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed, promoting a positive fitness experience for everyone.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Matric Certificate
- 3 months’ gym floor experience with practical knowledge on handling gym equipment and safety will be advantageous.
Preferred
- Certificate in Sports Science Exercise/Management, or similar.
Key Performance Duties
- Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained at the Gym.
- Report any equipment that is out of order to the Manager on Duty or the Gym Manager. Where possible, assist in fixing the equipment.
- Ensure that “Out of Order” signs are placed on broken equipment.
- Ensure that clients participate in efficient and effective exercise.
- Provide advice on basic training principles and refer clients to Exercise Consultants for specific details.
- Check the technique of members training on the floor and assist where needed.
- Assist members in understanding their exercise programs, as prescribed by the Exercise Consultant.
- Ensure timeous assistance is given in the use of all equipment and approach clients who seem to be unsure of how to use equipment.
- Ensure that strict safety rules are applied on the floor and in the pool area.
- Be familiar with SSISA programmes and the Old Mutual programmes.
- Ensure accurate information is cascaded about the company to members.
- Administer “on the spot” health checks for blood pressure and heart rate monitoring and be able to give accurate feed-back to clients.
- Ensure that the exercise floor is neat at all times; replacing weights and picking up lost property and litter.
- Lead classes when required, ensuring lesson plans are followed to maintain the flow of the classes, which involves being adaptable, engaging participants effectively, and making sure that objectives are met.
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate knowledge of cardiovascular equipment and how to operate it, as well as training guidelines.
- Efficiently organizing time to meet deadlines and complete tasks without compromising quality. This involves balancing various duties, such as administrative work, class facilitation, and customer service, all within the given work schedule.
- Provide accurate knowledge of all weight training equipment and how to operate it, as well as training guidelines.
- Promote Personal Training to members.
- Answer all queries completely, or refer the client to the relevant person.
- Be trained in CPR and feel competent to manage any emergency situation that may arise

The Senior Information & Technology Officer (SITO) will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and executive oversight across the organization’s entire technology ecosystem, encompassing information systems, software development, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital innovation.
The SITO is accountable for developing and executing the enterprise-wide technology strategy, ensuring the alignment of IT and digital capabilities with business goals, and enabling sustainable growth through innovation, resilience, and operational excellence.
This role carries full responsibility for IT governance, cybersecurity assurance, enterprise architecture, data protection compliance, and business continuity.

Essential Requirements
- Honour’s Degree/Post graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 7 years’ IT experience inclusive of 3 years’ management experience. Experience should entail:
- IT governance (COBIT, ITIL), cybersecurity (ISO 27001/02, NIST, CIS), and data protection (POPIA, GDPR).
- Proven track record in software development leadership, including agile, DevOps, and CI/CD implementation with progressive IT leadership experience.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
- FC group class instruction.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Operational
- Ensure that the correct procedures for screening, fitness testing and exercise prescription are followed according to the client membership flow.
- Ensure that screening, testing and programming is conducted as detailed in the relevant screening and testing manual. Bring any irregularities experience in this process to the attention of the Fitness Centre Manager.
- Interact with the sales team to ensure the smooth processing of contracts. This will include notifying sales of cancelled appointments, high-risk clients who have not been cleared for exercise and general comments of members which may be relevant to the sales consultants.
- Follow up where appropriate with other professionals. This will include the telephoning and processing of referral letters to Health Practitioners.
- Where appropriate, give constructive written feedback to Health Practitioners, updating Practitioner on client’s progress
- Ensure that accurate records of all clients are maintained according to the Wellness & Fitness Centre procedures.
- Actively participate in projects to educate Floor Staff and Interns throughout the year, as agreed with the Wellness & Fitness Centre Manager.
- Managerial Responsibilities:
- Manage the floor in the absence of a Manager on Duty, ensuring the efficient functioning of the Centre. This includes monitoring activities in the pool area
- Ensure that strict safety rules are applied on the floor and in the pool.
- Manage emergency situations when they arise, in accordance with the Wellness & Fitness Centre emergency policy and procedures.
- Mentor junior staff
- Personal Training:
- Conduct Personal Training for Wellness & Fitness Centre clients.
- Ensure that all income from Personal Training is invoiced and posted to the relevant administration system.
- Ensure that you remain current in your knowledge.
- Actively promote Personal Training in the Wellness & Fitness Centre.
- Biokineticists will have the right to negotiate the ability to practice as Biokineticists to the Wellness & Fitness Centre clientele.
