Fit4Gym is a group exercise-based programme developed for children between the ages of 11 and 14 years old. The programme covers all aspects of fitness and is perfectly suited for children who need to get fit or stay fit whilst having fun, making friends and building confidence.

Fit4Gym group sessions provide a safe and fun environment to help your child develop the skills and confidence to be able to train independently in the gym, once they are old enough and feel ready to join the SSISA Fitness Centre. This evidence-based programme is coordinated by a team of specialists in children’s physical activity, including biokineticists. The programme is non-competitive and inclusive, which caters to children with varying levels of fitness and abilities.

Class Times: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 15h30 – 16h30

Fitness Centre readiness assessment

Our policy is that individuals training unsupervised in the SSISA Fitness Centre need to be 15 years and older. However, if they are younger than 15 and would like to train in the Fitness Centre, they first need to undergo a readiness assessment. If the results of this assessment show that they are able to train independently, then they are good to go. If not, why not sign them up for Fit4Gym, which is designed to help them develop the skills and confidence to get them to this point?
