Once you’ve earned your stripes and have enjoyed the benefits of the Healthy Weight Beginner programme, we recommend that you graduate to Healthy Weight Intermediate. This will help you further entrench your newly acquired habits into your daily life. As per the Beginner course you will undergo an initial consultation where we will help you define new goals and regain focus. The Intermediate programme also allows you more independence and a greater flexibility of class times.

Course structure

  • 8 week course that continues the holistic approach to diet, exercise and weight management that was introduced in the Beginner programme.
  • Exercise sessions take place twice a week and you are encouraged to do two extra sessions of your choice a week. You now have the freedom to exercise on your own or to take part in the group classes offered by the SSISA.
  • Weekly dietary visits will help you tackle practical issues and arm you with a variety of dietary tools such as, what to eat at social events, how to make quick and easy breakfasts and other great tips for success.

Times & classes

The programme includes 2 Intermediate classes where a biokineticist will guide you through your session and who will act as your mentor for the full duration of the programme. The 2 other exercise sessions per week are of your choice. This could mean training on your own or taking part in one of the many classes that are run in the Wellness and Fitness centre.
