Whether you are an aspiring triathlete, or training for a Half Ironman (70.3), one of our TRI-Fit programmes can help you achieve your goal. Triathlons are becoming increasingly popular as people enjoy the diversity and challenge of training and competing in 3 disciplines. SSISA has developed two programmes to help triathletes prepare in a professional and scientific environment – whilst having fun.
1. 8-week women only Sprint Distance training programme
- This is a for a triathlon of approximately 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run and duathlon of 5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run
- 3 training session per week with qualified and experienced staff
- Suitable for beginners aspiring to complete their first triathlon/duathlon
- Receive weekly educational articles, expert advice and support, and an individualised training programme
- Training sessions include technique and drill training, interval and speed sessions, open water swims, transition training, strength and core training
- Next programme starts January 2013

2. 12-week Jailbreak or 70.3 Ironman training programme
- Jailbreak Triathlon distances are 2.2km swim, 88km bike, 22km run
- 70.3 Ironman distances are1.8km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run
- 2 training sessions per week with qualified and experienced staff, as well as an individualised training programme
- Suitable for more experienced triathletes who are looking for a challenge to complete longer distances
- Receive weekly educational articles, expert advice and support
- Training sessions include technique and drill training, interval and speed sessions, open water swims, transition training, strength and core training
- Next programme starts September 2013
